Aqualyx works very differently to chin filler as it is a fat dissolving compound designed to reduce fat cells, making it a fantastic way to treat a double chin.
Once injected into the fatty area, Aqualyx will begin to attach itself to fat cells, eliminating them entirely. It also tightens the skin in the treatment area, resulting in a smooth, defined chin.

Unlike dermal fillers, the effects won’t be noticeable straight away and the final results can take up to 8 weeks to show.
They are, however, more permanent than dermal fillers as the fat cells will be gone completely, so as long as you don’t regain the weight your double chin will be gone forever!

To begin, we’ll have an initial consultation to understand your specific requirements. We’ll ask you questions to understand what the ‘perfect chin’ looks like to you, which will inform how much dermal filler is used during your treatment.
We’ll also fill you in on everything you need to know before your treatment, such as which medications to avoid, advice on your diet (i.e. not eating salty food just before treatment) and more.
Next, you’ll be invited to our facial aesthetics clinic located on Winton High Street in Bournemouth. During your appointment we will put you at ease and answer any questions you have before starting the treatment.
Reem, our licensed and certified facial aesthetics pharmacist, will then clean the treatment area and apply a numbing anaesthetic cream. She will then start injecting the dermal filler into your chin in precise areas, massaging the filler into place after each injection.
You can expect instantly noticeable results from your chin filler which will continue to give you a more defined chin and jawline for anywhere between 9 and 18 months.
