One of the key ingredients in dermal fillers is Hyaluronic Acid (HA), a molecule which occurs naturally in your body that helps your skin to retain moisture.
As we age, our skin produces less natural oils and becomes dryer, resulting in wrinkles, fine lines and looser skin. By boosting your skin’s supply of Hyaluronic Acid via a dermal filler injection, you can instantly hydrate and revitalise your skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and adding volume to the injected area from underneath the skin.
Our dermal filler procedures are quick and easy. Our experienced practitioner, Reem, will first apply an anaesthetic cream to the target area, add the dermal filler and then massage the area. These procedures usually take between 15 and 60 minutes, depending on your chosen treatments.
Our dermal filler specialists are here to ensure you can achieve the look you’re after, which is why we offer a wide variety of dermal filler services. Learn more about each service below.

Meet our dermal filler Aesthetic Practitioner & Pharmacist , Reem

Dermal fillers offer a non-surgical, non-permanent way to enhance the look and feel of your skin.
Our Bournemouth based dermal filler clinic offers you the opportunity to rejuvenate ageing skin, reshape your nose, cheeks, chin or jawline and get the look you’ve always wanted without causing major disruption to your life.
Simply book an initial consultation with our dermal filler practitioner, Reem, and she’ll recommend the best treatment for you. The treatment itself is comfortable and carefully given and the clinic opens on Saturdays and evenings.
Directly after your dermal filler treatment, the treatment area may temporarily feel numb.
You should expect some swelling around the treatment area which may make it look ‘overfilled’ for 1 – 2 days.
Generally, your treatment area should have settled down within 1 – 2 weeks. You can resume most normal activities straight after your treatment, but we do recommend waiting a few days before doing intense exercise or drinking alcohol.

How long dermal fillers last depends on the type of dermal filler used. At Smile stories, we use several filler brands which can last between 9-18 months. We’ll select the best type for the treatment we’re undertaking.
The cost of your dermal fillers will depend on the type of treatment you opt for. Our dermal filler treatments start from £156. See our prices for each treatment on the specific treatment’s page.
While there are various types of dermal fillers available, our dermal fillers are made from Hyaluronic Acid, which is a molecule naturally found in the human body.
Yes, dermal fillers are safe when the treatment is conducted by an experienced, qualified dermal filler practitioner (such as our lovely Reem at Smile Stories).
Yes, dermal fillers are an FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved method of improving the look and feel of your skin/face.
Dermal fillers are occasionally uncomfortable, but are not painful. We do use anaesthetic cream to numb the area before we start and because you’re receiving treatment in a dental clinic, you have the option of a local anaesthetic.
